Q: PAMHO, AGTSP. I've been seeing your posts on my feed for a time now. I just wanted to know if you're ritvik.
A: Hare Krishna. Nobody is rtvik - jivera svarupa hoye krsnera nitya-das.
Q: Do you believe in the so-called ritvik philosophy?
A: There is nothing like rtvik philosophy, when you know the definition of rtvik.
(Rtvik definition). From the definition, it is clear that it is an occupational post.
Q: I meant if you believe that Srila Prabhupada is still the diksha guru?
A: Srila Prabhupada is above the position of a diksa-guru. Any further questions you might have?
Q: So what kind of initiation system you believe in? I see that you live in ISKCON Mayapur. Do you agree with the present system in ISKCON for initiation?
A: There are different kinds of initiation: upanayan, pancaratra-diksa, bhagavata-diksa. Though, in essence, there is only one - imparting transcendental knowledge and destroying ignorance. That can be done in several ways grouped into nine processes of devotional service. Anything else outside of this scope is doubtful of its clarity of purpose. It does not matter whether ISKCON or IRM.
Q: Which one do you believe one should follow? I mean this is alright. but who is the guru at present?
A: All of these diksas are bona-fide. Gaudiya sapradaya is bhagavata sampradaya, but pancaratra diksa is helpful. But harinama is superior to formalities of pancaratra.
Q: Who should one take initiation from, a living guru or Srila Prabhupada?
A: For upanayanam and pancaratra diksa is necessary present guru. That is clearly stated in the sastra. For bhagavata-diksa/vidhi, it can be transferred through writings, recordings, heart, the association of other vaishnavas, or even pictures.
Q: Which one is superior?
A: We are bhagavatas. That is our main parampara medium. But we use pancaratra as well because it is a great support to bhagavata-vidhi. However, pancaratra is not necessary. One can still get the essence of bhakti without it. But many require it despite the fact.
