Practical Cooperation

rathavāḍava nyāyaḥ (carriage with horses)

The horses pulling on the carriage cooperate very nicely.

The carriage horses represent the sense of cooperation. In the animal kingdom, sometimes even between the animals of different species, there are many more examples of mutual cooperation for achieving some particular goal. Modern people should take an example of this, because they very often have a hard time cooperating in their jobs, with their spouses, and children or in political circles. In a flash, they rise to quarrel and fight with their colleagues and peers. No wonder! While forming clubs, parties, and taking up to marriages, they miss the goal of true substance. On the opposite, those who are spiritually advanced have no reason to rival. They are very easy to cooperate with, as they very liberally offer many varieties of fields of cooperation, which make sense only, when the real substance, personified by Lord Kṛṣṇa, is

established in the very first place. In this sūtra, pulling the carriage represents practical devotional activity, and the experienced horseman is the actual representative guru, a pure devotee of Śrī Kṛṣṇa. If all these are in place, the destination of going back home, back to Godhead, is certainly going to be achieved.
