Liability for Wrongs

For mistakes and wrongdoings of servants and subordinates is responsible master, leader or king. Theirs is the responsibility to educate subordinates to not to make those mistakes. Therefore superior is punishable. This is described in Mahābhārata and Nyāya-śāstra confirms that - bhṛtyāparādhe svāmino daṇḍaḥ.​
