Empty Wood Apple

Gajabhuktakapittha nyāyaḥ - The elephant eats inside the wood apple fruit, also called Bael or Kapittha. He leaves hard shell, so from outside it seems that fruit is perfect and intact. Tāvac ca śobhate mūrkho yāvat kiïcin na bhāṣate. A fool may look very nice by dressing up, but is exposed when he speaks. That is a kind of duplicity. He is like the wood apple fruit, which looks untouched from outside, but inside is hollow empty. Fool is empty headed. Meaning? He may or may not have some terrific complicated theoretical knowledge, but it only echoes inside his empty being. He has nothing to apply in practical life for the improvement of his family, friends, society or humanity, and himself, not speaking of service to Lord Kṛṣṇa. Such people pose as great scientists, philosophers, and rest of the leaders and mentors, living at the expense of society, just to mislead the innocent public. They speak high-sounding phrases, which nobody, including themselves, is able do digest. The result is mental dysentery or constipation. The true knowledge is that knowledge, which help people to free themselves from the onslaught of material conditioning, and place themselves humbly at the lotus feet of their Lordship Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa. It is there, where every knowledge and activity comes to a full consolidation. As a result of that, society brings up high grade cultured citizens. If human race is full of duplicitous individuals, it suffers greatly.
